Special religious education
Write to the school if you wish to withdraw your child from special religious education, sometimes known as scripture. Special education in ethics is an option for your child if you withdraw them from special religious education. For more information, visit Special religious education.
Given the small numbers of students that participate in SRE, during the time that SRE/SEE classes are being held, students not participating will remain in their classrooms with their class teachers and will participate in meaningful activities - such as reading, private study, revision or completing homework.
Students participating in SRE will leave their normal classes and be located in a separate space and be supervised by representatives of the respective authorized provider.
At Camden Haven High School, SRE is delivered once a fortnight for Years 7-8 students. A flexible time schedule is used.
SRE is provided by Travis McNamara, the Youth Minister at Camden Haven Anglican Church.
