This year the Girl Talk program wrapped up their 10 weeks together by organising and participating in a  school Fashion Parade.

This was a first time event for Camden Haven High School and became a fun Graduation & Celebration for the girls to share with family and staff.

Girl Talk covers topics such as personal health , well being and self esteem in a weekly, small, informal group of  girls selected as  needing ‘time out’ from the various challenges their young lives are facing.

Interlaced throughout the program are presentations on body image, deportment, communication skills and self protection issues . We are very grateful for the support we get from CHHS staff members who volunteer their free time & to our local community.

Priceline from Port Macquarie sent a team of  consultants to pamper the girls with make up & skin care demonstration,  all the girls received a beautiful gift pack. Local police officer Wendy Hudson joined the girls in an open discussion on Social Media issues followed by an invitation to have a BBQ and game of tennis at the Kendall Tennis Courts. Great day out. Bronny, owner of What the Frock fashion house in Port Macquarie, willingly supplied the all fashions to make it a colourful and exciting event on the day.

A big thankyou to the 11 young ladies who faced their fears and joined their female staff mentors  strutting their stuff on the big day. Absolutely amazing.
