Distance Education

Our school uniquely offers both face-to-face and distance learning for students from the Central Coast to Coffs Harbour and inland to Armidale, as well as Lord Howe Island. We offer full-time enrolment for students unable to attend school and single-course provision for students at another school that don't offer a particular course.

Studying by distance education enables students to:

  • have direct contact with teachers by email, phone and post

  • be visited by teachers where possible

  • attend study days, seminars and excursions to provide contact with other students

  • borrow excellent resources from an extensive library.

Fulltime applications can be made for students who are not able to attend a face to face school.

Distance Education can be a rewarding and valuable experience for a range of students and there are a number of categories that cater for the needs of individual students in all years. If you feel that you have a student who fits into one of the categories below, please click on the "Enrolment Procedures" link at the bottom of this page to check eligibility criteria.

  • Isolated Students
  • Students travelling within Australia
  • Students temporary resident or travelling overseas
  • Students with a medical condition
  • Pregnant students/Young Parents
  • Vocationally Talented Students
  • Students with Significant Support Needs
  • Students with Significant Support Needs – transition

Single Course Provision is available for students who are currently attending a face to face school that cannot offer the student a particular course.
