Camden Haven High School has a thriving Robotics program, it's success due to the committment to all involved. The robotics program was initiatied from student interest in 2010. Since then, our team has competed in local, state and national competitions with continued success.
Students are taught skills in planning, risk assessment, gear packing, nagivation, and bush first aid. Our previous adventures have included multiday hikes in the Barrington Tops Wilderness Area and the Yuraygir National Park. For more information, see the Duke of Ed website.
The Duke of Edingurgh's (DoE) International Award is available to all 14-25 year olds, with three levels of achievement: Bronze, Silver and Gold. At Camden Haven High School, we offer a DoE Program to give students opportunities to learn lifelong skills in leadership, resilience, teamwork and perseverence. Students demonstrate a commitment to developing a skill, a sport, service to the community and succesfully undertake two adventures. A supervising teacher plans the journey with students and can be an expedition or an exploration.
