Transitions year 6 to year 7
The Camden Haven Community of Schools is committed to ensuring a smooth transition from primary to high school. A variety of events have been planned to familiarise students at primary school with the staff, students and facilities at Camden Haven High School.
Year 9 leadership students visit local primary schools in August to help prepare year 6 students for high school as part of their training as Peer Leaders. Visits to small schools gather at Heron's Creek and our peer leaders also visit Kendall, Laurieton, North Haven, and Lake Cathie Primary Schools.
We hold an information session early in the year for parents and students that will be attending the following year. There is an Orientation Day in term 4 for students followed by an information session for parents.
