Students Volunteer at NSW Elders Olympics

Students from Camden Haven High School volunteered at the Aboriginal Elders Olympics held in Port Macquarie in April.

The 36 teams from across NSW competed in fun games with the aim of improving health standards of the Aboriginal community and promoting health and wellbeing.

Organiser of the event, Cindy O’Brien-Younie, says the success of the event is due to the enthusiasm of participants and support of schools and local organisations.

Our students did a great job of supporting and encouraging Elders throughout the day, as well as assisting with the organisation of the event.
