Lawn Bowls Team Travels to State Finals

Our Lawn Bowls team travelled to Nambucca Heads on Wednesday 5th June to play the Final of the State High Schools Lawn Bowls competition.

Students had to try out for the team in an intensive trial at Club North Haven and Taite, Samara and Ava from year seven were selected to play.

We played a group of experienced year 10 boys from Evans Head Central School who won 10 of the 18 ends and were convincing winners. The game was played in very cold windy conditions which made the game very challenging for our young bowlers. Our team showed exemplary sportsmanship and enjoyed representing our school in a North Coast final.

We are already talking about a training program to prepare for next years tournament!
