Geography Field Trip a Success

On Friday 28^th February we had wonderful weather for Year 10 Geography classes to undertake their mandatory field work at Lake Cathie. We also used the day to clean up a large area around the lake as part of our Clean Up Australia Day activities.

Students completed seven activities on the day including studying how people use the area, plants and how they protect the dunes, how to use a number of field work instruments, studying longshore drift and reading the speed of currents. 

This was the 18^th time we have run the trip and every year we are impressed with how wonderful our students and their teachers are.
