On Monday 21st November, Year 10 departed the school to head to the Gold Coast. 73 excited students were able to complete this trip after COVID cancelled it in 2021.
Students participated in a range of activities; trampolining on Monday night, Dreamworld and Outback Spectacular on Tuesday, Wet ‘n’ Wild and Ice skating on Wednesday and Movie World and shopping at Pacific Fair on Thursday.
The long lines and crowds did not dampen the excitement of all that were involved. Year 10 took all the opportunities given even if they were unsure at first and had a go. It was great to see so many students stepping outside of their comfort zone to challenge themselves.
Some of the highlights for Year 10 were the food options at Pacific Fair, the Joker ride at Movie World, as well as Dreamworld, when there was a malfunction of a ride and it became stuck on the ground for a short period. Year 10 were also excited to convince Miss Chapman to go on some of the rides, including the Log Ride at Movie World.
