On Friday 18th March the Combined High Schools (CHS) Puma Cup was held at Camden Haven High School with 5 schools from the Lower North Coast represented.
The CHHS team is very young, with the team consisting of a lot of year 10 students and a couple year 9 students. Despite this, the CHHS boys performed extremely well in a competition of a very high standard.
Earlier in the day the CHHS boys played a friendly game against Melville High School with Sam Smythe finding the back of the net following a classy free-kick, resulting in a 3-1 loss.
In round three, Camden Haven were defeated 3-0 by a well-drilled and experienced Hastings Secondary College Port Macquarie Campus in a very competitive game.
Congratulations to Sam Smythe, Charlie Forster and Will Naven who were rewarded for strong performances with selection in the Lower North Coast CHS football side.
The next round of the North Coast selection trials will take place in Coffs Harbour on the 5th April.
