On Friday the 24th June. Camden Haven High travelled to Scotts Head to compete in the Zone athletics competition. CHHS had about 55 competitors there to run, throw, jump, skip, hop and hurdle.
Not only were the students very well behaved, they displayed great sportsmanship, comradery, determination and skill. It is hard to talk about any one event as CHHS was competitive in every event, finishing in the top three regularly. Two thirds of the team have qualified for the North Coast Carnival in Kingscliff early next term. Congratulations Team, you should be proud as CHHS won the championship for the fourth year in a row.
It must be noted that we have the largest team. This is due to the school covering the cost of the bus which makes it easier for more to be involved. This promotes being active and trying your best.
