Canvas

Canvas is an online Learning Management System (LMS) where teachers build courses for each subject. Learning materials are supplied in an engaging paper-free format full of rich media like videos and quizzes. It is also a platform where assignments and homework can be submitted.

Canvas has separate interfaces for teachers, students and parents to view content specific to your needs.

How to access Canvas

Students only need to use Canvas if their subject teacher has created a course there. Teachers invite students via school email address. Once enrolled in a course, students can access Canvas through the Student Portal or directly by going to camdenhaven.instructure.com. Courses will also have a unique URL that can be accessed through Student Learning Materials.

The Canvas by Instructure app is the mobile version of Canvas that helps you stay current with your courses anywhere you go. Download the FREE Canvas app on Android and iOS devices.

Help! I'm having trouble with...

❓ I forgot my password
Try "changeme" or click the "Forgot password" link to reset it

❓ I can't remember which email to use
School emails are the only ones that will work. This is usually: firstname.lastname#@education.nsw.gov.au

❓ I'm logged into my education account but when I get to Canvas it won't let me in
You might be logged into more than one account on your browser. See Signing In.

❓ I'm having trouble with some Canvas features
The best browser for Canvas is Google Chrome. Some features will work in Microsoft Edge or Safari but it is recommended to download Chrome for free.
