Microsoft Office is available for download on desktops via OnTheHub, alternatively you can access web-based versions of Desktop apps in Office 356 or download desktop apps from there. Read about downloading software from OnTheHub here.
Go to https://www.office.com/ and login or create a shortcut to access Officde 365 from your portal
Once logged in you can find the Office 365 homepage to access online, cloud-based apps.
Word, excel and powerpoint work much the same in Office 365 as on desktops and can be integrated so that you work on your desktop and save to the cloud. This is because some functionality is reduced in the online version.
Outlook is the email client used to access school emails @det.nsw.edu.au
Teams is a group workspace where you can interact with classmates and teachers. There is a desktop app, but please note it can slow down computers if you have many apps running.
OneDrive is a cloud-based storage system which can be shared for collaboration or file transfer.
Forms are digital surveys, quizzes or polls. They could include sign-up forms, marked quizzes or feedback surveys.
OneNote is a note-taking system designed to work like a notebook.
