We commemorate Anzac Day

On 25 April we commemorate Anzac Day. We are proud of the students who attended local services, in particular those who marched under our school banner. School captain Mia Windred and Vice Captain William Jackson gave an address at the Laurieton ceremony, and Captain Hugh Rackley and Vice Captain Xanthia Hughes spoke at the Kendall ceremony.

Laurieton RSL Sub branch president, John “Budgie” Parrott, emphasised the importance of the support of local schools and how students are those who maintain and remember the Anzac legacy. He was impressed by the speeches delivered by our captains at the public event and after attending school-based ceremonies last term, said he was “proud and confident of our young people’s future”.

We thank all students, families and staff who attended local ceremonies, especially the students who wore uniform and marched proudly under our school banner. It was fantastic to see our school represented with pride.
